Solar Panels on water? Yes, and it turns out most of them are more efficient than land-based ones, because the water and air flowing keeps them passively cool. But here's the challenge nobody has fully cracked yet: how significant is this cooling effect, and how consistently does it translate into increased energy generation?

Last week, the SPARKLES project held its first in-person General Assembly! Both consortium partners and societal partners came together to think collaboratively about the future vision of SPARKLES and FPV. With an eye on the horizon, the partners also shared what they were currently working on and exchanged ideas about practical solutions and possible collaborations. It was a very fruitful 2-day meeting that the consortium aims to keep in the project planning!

The first monitoring devices were installed for field measurement at locations Zaltbommel and Zonnewaal, for continuous monitoring on the same day!
